Liam Reid and Mark Naguib, both RCVS Advanced Practitioners in Zoological Medicine, have launched Avian, Wildlife and Exotics CPD, currently the only provider offering practical wet-lab courses in avian orthopaedics and avian emergency and critical care in the UK.

The first one-day courses will take place in Yorkshire in 2026, offering practical teaching in subjects that can currently only be found by traveling abroad:

  • 21st March - Avian Essentials and Critical Care. This course is for those looking to gain knowledge and confidence seeing birds in practice.
  • 11th July - Avian Orthopaedics Essentials. This course is aimed at practitioners looking to learn orthopaedic surgery in birds.

As these are small group practical courses, places will be limited.
