Exago ultrasound deviceECM, a French manufacturer of ultrasound devices, has launched Exago, a new mobile veterinary ultrasound device which the company says is particularly suited for use with horses and pets.

ECM says the main features of the new device are:

  • Uses the latest technology used in the medical sector.
  • Small, lightweight (3250 grams) design and extended battery life (4.5 hrs) make it an ideal tool for field diagnoses, as well as for use in veterinary practices.
  • An 8.4-inch screen to help users make fast, accurate and reliable diagnoses.
  • Ultrasound images and video sequences can be saved directly to the device's memory.
  • Multiple connectivity points, also for connecting to a larger screen, a printer or a USB stick.
  • Direct downloads and updates for both software and hardware, making the device fully scaleable.
  • Delivered complete with a wide range of variable frequency probes (convex, micro-convex or linear) for reproductive and gynaecological applications, which can also be used for tendon and muscular-skeletal examinations.
