Vetspeed Ltd
, the specialist waste management company which collects and disposes clinical, animal and plant-based wastes, is supporting regional businesses in a major development at its Thriplow Heath site, just south of Cambridge.
The investment includes the installation of two technically advanced rotary autoclaves, which use direct steam contact to sterilise clinical waste. The facility is the first of its kind in East Anglia, and one of only four similar rotary autoclaves in the UK. Meeting the highest standards of compliance, this will enable the company to process veterinary and other mainly cellulose-based clinical wastes in an environmentally-friendly way and to continue to develop its customer care.
Committed to building strong relationships across the region, eight out of ten companies that Vetspeed has appointed to create its £2.5 million office and processing facility are drawn from the general area.
