Oral tumours account for between 3 and 12% of feline neoplasms and are the fourth most common site of malignancies in this species. The authors examine the clinical features of 54 cases to determine those factors associated with survival. The overall median survival time was 44 days and one year survival was 9.5%. Variables linked to survival included belonging to a pedigree breed, receiving nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug therapy after diagnosis and cyclooxygenase expression staining on histological analysis.
