The County Veterinary Clinic, Taunton.
We are seeking a conscientious and motivated clinician to join the team of four full and part-time experienced vets in our fiercely independent family-owned small animal practice in the heart of beautiful Somerset. We take great pride in delivering a highly professional service to our great clients and their pets and we love what we do.
We are an RCVS Tier 2 practice, extensively equipped including digital x-ray, colour Doppler ultrasound, flexible and rigid endoscopy, DR dental x-ray and multiparameter monitoring. We have a DipECVAA and CertSAM on staff as well as visiting advanced practitioners and specialists.
We have a truly varied and interesting caseload, with minimum 15 minute appointments and a flexible diary to allow for case continuity. If your idea of fun is endless back-to-back health plan checks and repetitive neutering, then this is not for you. If you like having time to spend with your clients & patients, plus headspace to think and work up your cases, then get in touch.
We would love to employ a keen clinician, who wants to share ideas and discuss cases with their peers while being willing to manage their own patients independently. Some experience is desirable but we are happy to support a recent graduate.
Outside of work there is an excellent mix of town and country, with the Quantock and Blackdown Hills on the doorstep. Be on Exmoor in twenty minutes or the Jurassic coast in thirty.
Transport links are excellent; less than two hours by train to central London, two international airports within 40 minutes and the M5 motorway is ten minutes away. Accommodation if required. Full time or part time considered as we know what it’s like working and having other commitments. No night time on call as all night time emergencies are seen by our out of hours provider.
Salary would be commensurate with individual skill set and working pattern, but a package of up to £60K+ would be available for the right candidate, with RCVS/VDS/BVA memberships covered. Private healthcare, life insurance, pension and CPD funded.
