The Role

We are looking for an experienced small animal vet to join our team, we have We have full diagnostic capabilities such as ultrasound, digital radiography, endoscopy, laparoscopic equipment as well as a recently installed CT scanner, this complements a team which included certificate holders in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, medicine, imaging and cardiology ensuring that we have a dynamic group which can support and help develop colleagues at all stages in their careers. We provide a supportive, caring and friendly network with regular social nights from ‘boozy lunches’ to ‘murder mystery nights!’

We have a small animal position available for a vet with at least 1 years’ experience and this could be based at our Dundee hospital or our Arbroath branch.

Successful Candidate

A successful candidate would be enthusiastic, dedicated and fun loving with a desire to work as part of a successful, energetic team.

Thistle Vets are currently searching for a vet to join our diverse team. We are a proudly independent, 2 site, 8 vet progressive clinic keen to hear from vets of all stripes, looking to join a busy clinic and an established, eclectic, fun and welcoming team.

We believe in making space for the right candidate whoever they may be, so whatever your circumstance, clinical interests/speciality, experience level, please reach out to us for an informal discussion.

Our close-knit team are very well qualified and experienced with several of our vets and nurses possessing or working towards postgraduate qualifications. Amongst the vets we have certificate holders in cardiology (x2), ophthalmology, feline medicine, and acupuncture and have we aim to foster a supportive environment for vets to learn from one another. Our consultations are 20 minutes long and this reflects our general ethos of thoroughness, attention to detail, and focus on quality not quantity. Comprehensive workup and treatment is encouraged when possible, facilitated by an ever-expanding range of equipment and gadgets (endoscopy, video otoscopy, doppler ultrasound, dental x-ray, bronchoscopy, multiparameter monitors, electrocautery, full in-house lab, ECG, tonometry, slit lamp, advanced cruciate surgery and fracture equipment, root canal) and a wide range of other gadgets, alongside a motivated clientele.

Our Chesser clinic underwent an expansion and top-to-bottom refurbishment in April ‘23, which has seen major investment to cater for a burgeoning client base and expand our clinical capabilities.

The Package

Salary is generous and is scaled relative to experience level and qualifications.

Those wishing to embark on a certificate will be fully funded and supported including travel and accommodation. CPD is strongly encouraged with a very healthy flexible budget, with paid leave granted to attend conferences or courses.

Positive salary reviews are conducted yearly and long service is rewarded with extra days of annual leave in addition to the 5 core weeks + select Bank Holidays.

RCVS and VDS fees are fully paid.

Private medical insurance is available as an optional perk.

Nest Pension enrolment

The full-time role involves a 4 day week from (08:30-19:00), a 1:5 Saturday rota (09:00-17:00) and a 1:8 Sunday rota (10:00-13:00), although we encourage part time applicants to get in touch and discuss your personal requirements with us. VetsNow cover our OOH provision, and as such, there is no OOH commitments in this role.

Dowding vets in Lincolnshire are recruiting for vet to join our busy and vibrant team.

We are a 100% small animal practice with a team of 10 vets with the support of our fantastic team of 12 nurses.

We also have a lovely branch surgery in the village of Bawtry (20 minutes away) where you will have the option to work solely there, solely at Gainsborough or a mix of the both!

We are looking for a vet with a passion for medicine and surgery who can excel with the support of our longstanding team! Many of us here have been in the Dowding family for over 10 years!

We are happy to support flexible working as work-life balance and happy vets are important to us. The vets work a 4 day week with no OOHRS and finish daily at 6pm! 2 in 5 Saturday's until 1pm, no OOHRS!

We operate 15-minute consults as standard (longer for complicated cases). The vets get plenty of time to enable them to work up cases and report lab results etc.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our busy group of practices. You’ll be working between one or two of our sites, along with time at our Thornbury hospital. The successful candidate will work alongside our diverse and highly experience team to provide a high level of care for our patients. You’ll be required to take part in all aspects of first opinion practice, from routine operations and consultations. We offer a varied caseload of medicine and surgery. This role will require elements of sole charge, so we’re looking for a candidate that’s confident enough with this. Our excellent facilities have enabled us to host Vets Now in our Hospital building so there is a 1:4 Saturday morning rota, but no further weekend or other out of hours involvement.

We have our own hospital facilities and 5 branch surgeries. Thornbury is a tier 3 RCVS accredited hospital and is an ISFM gold standard cat friendly practice. We are a nurse training practice. Our experienced team include several certificate holders in ECC, Ophthalmology and Surgery. Many of our nurses have advanced qualifications as well, allowing us to deal with a wide variety of both medical and surgical cases in house. Our other sites are in Armley, Horsforth, Morley, Meanwood and Birkenshaw. They are well equipped to do most day care surgery cases. Some have ISFM Silver status with RVN consulting days. All have good support staff teams and appropriate facilities. We are close to Leeds and Bradford, if it is city life that interests you, and close to the Yorkshire Dales for those with outdoor passions. We are also based only a few miles away from Leeds Bradford Airport. We have 14-day vets, a dedicated admin team, 10 RVNs, along with nursing assistants and reception staff at the branches. In the Hospital we have dental X-rays, separate soft tissue and orthopaedic theatres, the facilities for laparoscopic spays, ultrasound and endoscopy room and even an operating microscope

We are looking for an enthusiastic, empathetic, and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our small yet busy team at Alder Veterinary Practice. The successful candidate will be confident in all first opinion duties and comfortable with sole charge on occasion. You will be joining our well-established team of 3 Veterinary Surgeons; the role is hugely varied and will include consults and operating daily and caring for our very loyal and friendly client base. This position is split over two sites in Bouse and Spalding with 75% of your time spent in Bourne however this is negotiable to a certain extent depending on your requirements and personal circumstances.

We are in the fortunate position to be able to offer a mix of rotas to accommodate all working patterns including working mums and dads with a school friendly rota. For context, our full time rota is 40 hours per week across 4 days, with 1:5 Saturdays 8:30am – 12pm. No bank holiday or out-of-hours are involved as we are covered by VetsNow.

About Us

We have two very well-established surgeries in the Lincolnshire market towns of Spalding and Bourne, both of which have a loyal client base of well over 20 years. We are situated close to the historic town of Stamford where you can visit Burghley House, Burghley Horse Trials, or Rutland Water, and Peterborough is approximately half an hour away with direct train lines into London.

Both practices are equipped with digital radiography ( recently purchased and upgraded to DR system), ultrasounds, endoscope, and in-house blood testing equipment. We also have good-sized theatres and consult rooms for our varied first opinion cases. Our Spalding branch has very recently been refurbished to a high spec finish and our Bourne branch is next on the list!

Our friendly team comprises of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Nursing Assistants, and a full team of Receptionists. None of us could do our jobs properly without each other! We are a very encouraging team who are always willing to step in and work together in times of need and we work hard to provide the highest standards in client and animal care. Our Veterinary Surgeons will always talk through all options of care with our clients to ensure they are making the most informed choices, and we work closely with various referral practices to be able to offer that option if required.

Our modern practice is equipped with fantastic facilities and we have a brilliant team. We are a training practice providing our staff with ample support to ease into the team and gain experience. We have 12 vets, mostly working part time making use of the flexible rota pattern we offer, and an experienced nursing and support team. We have purpose-built premises including 7 stables, trot ups, a sand school, a treatment room, stocks, a knockdown box and a theatre. We have an excellent range of modern equipment, including portable DR radiography, ultrasound, shockwave, lasers, and video endoscope/gastroscope.

Collaboration is key and our friendly team of 7 equine vets, 3 equine nursing assistants and 4 office staff offers the support needed to grow and learn. Paws Veterinary Centre are recruiting for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon who is confident with both consultations and routine surgery.
We carry out surgery every weekday morning and consultations all day and the role can be tailored to a surgery or consulting bias depending on the individual preference of the candidate.

Our ideal candidate would be a positive person who works well as part of a small team. This could be someone who is happy in general practice or someone with aspirations of further education. They must be RCVS registered and confident when faced with emergency cases.
