The Role

We are looking for an experienced small animal vet to join our team, we have We have full diagnostic capabilities such as ultrasound, digital radiography, endoscopy, laparoscopic equipment as well as a recently installed CT scanner, this complements a team which included certificate holders in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, medicine, imaging and cardiology ensuring that we have a dynamic group which can support and help develop colleagues at all stages in their careers. We provide a supportive, caring and friendly network with regular social nights from ‘boozy lunches’ to ‘murder mystery nights!’

We have a small animal position available for a vet ideally with some experience.

We are also looking for a large animal/mixed vet to join us early next year.

We are an Independent, RCVS Accredited small animal surgery with a reputation for outstanding clinical work and superior client care seeking an experienced and enthusiastic vet to join our growing practice. The practice is situated in leafy Banstead, Surrey – a short distance from London to the North and Brighton to the South. The successful candidate will join an excellent team of staff including an Internal Medicine specialist (ACVIM), a surgery certificate holder, general practitioners and experienced RVNs, working in modern well-equipped facilities achieving high clinical standards. Digital x-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopy, endoscopy, in-house lab, isolation ward, separate cat and dog waiting areas, consult rooms, prep rooms, theatres and wards – try not to get lost!

We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and motivated vet who works well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills are essential. Ideally the candidate would have sufficient experience to be confident when consulting or performing basic soft-tissue surgery.

Work life balance is important to us, so our full-time vets and nurses work a 4-day week and share a one weekend in 4 rota. No OOH. 20-minute consults as routine.

We are a small animal mobile veterinary practice who set up 8 years ago. Our vets work out of converted vehicles alongside a qualified nurse or veterinary care assistant. We have a brand new fully converted van ready to hit the road, and we now just need to find a vet! Our vans have everything you need in them, including the ability to print medication labels easily. We do on average 10 mobile home visit appointments in a full working day.

We also have an operating theatre in Treeton, Rotherham and there is the opportunity to have at least one operating morning here per week if desired but this is not essential.

We all start and end our day at our Barlborough base which is just off junction 30 of the M1 on the Sheffield/Chesterfield border. We then carry out home visits across Sheffield, Chesterfield and Rotherham. We find that house visits give us a better client bond, better job satisfaction, and more enjoyment of our job as we are out and about driving through the countryside and not trapped inside all day!

We are looking for someone to work a minimum of 15 hours a week, but we have scope to increase this to 40 hours a week if needed. We do not work evenings or bank holidays. The hours for this job can be tailored around school hours if needed - you can choose the hours that you work and we are open to any pattern, even if it needs to change week by week! I work flexibly and this allows me to be there for my children whenever they need me. It has meant that I have not missed out on anything as they have grown up.

In order to work for us you must be a qualified vet, registered with RCVS to work in the UK. You must also have a full UK driving licence to be able to drive our vehicles. Our vans can be driven on a normal driving licence, you don't need any extra driving qualification!

Baldivis Vet Hospital is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Veterinarian to join our progressive and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern, well-equipped hospital with a strong focus on excellence in patient care, diagnostics, and teamwork.

About the Role:

We are looking for a veterinarian with a postgraduate qualification in diagnostic imaging or ultrasound to provide high-quality ultrasound services to our patients. The role involves performing abdominal and thoracic ultrasounds, echocardiography (if applicable), and assisting with advanced case workups in collaboration with our experienced veterinary team.

Ideally, we are seeking someone to cover Monday to Thursday, with approximately 4 hours per shift. Although these shifts are shorter than a standard workday, the relatively higher salary will ensure that the total remuneration is equivalent to a full-time salary of $120,000 per annum.

The University of Glasgow Small Animal Hospital is seeking to recruit a Junior Clinician to join our small animal imaging team as Diagnostic Imaging intern. This position might suit someone who has recently completed a rotating or previous imaging internship and who is looking for the next step towards specialization.

Applications are invited from candidates with a veterinary degree registerable with RCVS who have completed a rotating internship or equivalent, possess proof or eligibility for your right to work in the UK, an excellent command of written and spoken English and strong communication skills.

You will be joining a friendly Imaging team of European Diagnostic Imaging specialists, advanced practitioners, radiographers and a Diagnostic Imaging interns. Our diagnostic imaging suite includes an on-site 1.5T MRI (Siemens Magnetom Essenza 1.5T MRI), a new 80-slice CT scanner (Canon Aquilion Lightning), digital radiography, and C-arm and ultrasonography (GE Logiq E9 for general ultrasound and a GE Vivid E95 for echocardiography) units. Our facilities also include a brand new, cutting-edge linear accelerator, radio-iodine unit, dedicated ICU and excellent in-house laboratory.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support the delivery of an efficient and effective small animal imaging referral service by providing clinical activity and help develop the Imaging department, which acts as a hub between a tight-knit, supportive multidisciplinary team including many specialists working in a wide range of services within our award-winning state-of-the-art Small Animal Hospital, which is one of the most sophisticated in Europe allowing companion animals from across the United Kingdom to benefit for the most advanced care available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the year.

This post is offered on a 1 year fixed-term basis and offers the early-stage clinical experience required as vets prepare for further specialist training, for example through European Board of Veterinary Specialisation (EBVS®) approved residencies and/or masters formal training programmes. While appointments may be extended for a short fixed term period where this would be in the mutual interest, in the interests of ensuring that veterinary career development is supported, and to assist with recruitment to the University’s EBVS® approved Residency and our own Masters Programmes, the one-year duration will remain the normal duration.

Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon (Flexible hours to suit) – Suffolk
