The Role

We are looking for an experienced small animal vet to join our team, we have We have full diagnostic capabilities such as ultrasound, digital radiography, endoscopy, laparoscopic equipment as well as a recently installed CT scanner, this complements a team which included certificate holders in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, medicine, imaging and cardiology ensuring that we have a dynamic group which can support and help develop colleagues at all stages in their careers. We provide a supportive, caring and friendly network with regular social nights from ‘boozy lunches’ to ‘murder mystery nights!’

We have a small animal position available for a vet ideally with some experience.

We are also looking for a large animal/mixed vet to join us early next year.

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced General Practice Small Animal Vet to take their next steps or work towards a funded certificate. Our busy well established independent group with two practices, both have full facilities; in house lab, digital X-Ray, ultrasound, dental X-Ray etc.
Shift - For maximum work life balance our patterns are; Early shift is 8/9am-4/5pm and a late shift is 11-7pm. A four day week is also a possibility. Consultations run morning, mid afternoon and early evening, with each vet getting surgery slots every day, and a designated catch up slot for calls etc. Shifts can be moulded to fit the candidates requirements if possible.
Weekends - Saturday 9am-5pm. Weekends are 1 in 6 with time off in lieu the following week.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed small animal vet to join our rapidly growing independent practice in the heart of Worcestershire.

Based in Malvern we are surrounded by beautiful countryside. The Malvern Hills are on our doorstep we have easy access to the motorway network with Worcester/Birmingham/Cheltenham a short drive away. and are close to the Welsh Borders.
Best Friends Vets is a progressive 1st opinion small animal practice that is fully equipped with digital x-ray, dental x-ray endoscopy, ultrasound, full in house laboratory and therapeutic laser.

We are a small friendly team consisting of 1.5 vets, 4 nurses, 2 receptionists and also a student veterinary nurse. We have no Out of Hours.
Ideally the candidate will have a keen interest in surgery and perhaps hold or be working towards CertSAS. Some sole charge will be required but we have a fantastic experienced nursing team to support you. There will be also be support given from our full time vet with a CertSAM.

A full time roll is preferred but we would also consider a job share role.
• Salary 60-70K DOE
• Holiday initally 22 days pa pro rata plus bank holidays.

Cheltenham - Vet at Friendly, Busy Independent Practice, great hours, salary (45-70k) and benefits!!

Part time, full time - you let us know what days you’d like to work and we can make it happen. Great Hours and Rota, no OOH and currently 1 in 16 Saturday mornings.

Casvet is the fully independent vet practice inside Cheltenham Animal Shelter, half-owned by Cheltenham Animal Shelter. We exist to provide a vet service to the shelter (free appointments, cost price medication etc) and to be an excellent practice to the local community. Our appointment fees for the public make veterinary care accessible and most of our ops are 30-40% cheaper than other practices. We have a team of 8 vets and 9 RVNs running on a 5 vet rota.

We are offering an excellent package with great working hours and we are seeking a vet with some experience.

We are a busy 1st opinion practice as well as partnering with peripatetic vets for in house referrals in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology and dermatology. We are limited on space but have 4 consulting rooms and 2 theatres and invest in our team and our equipment - all the kit you’d expect as well as laparoscopy, dental X-ray, tonometer, separate dog/ cat/ rabbit wards. We achieved Practice Standards in 2024 and launched our health scheme in 2025. There is plenty of support within the practice and we have previously taken on 2 new graduates In the last 6 years who are both still with us.

Ideally we would like another full time vet but if you would like to work 2,3 or 4 days a week then please still apply - we are keen to enable flexible working - three of our vets work 2 days a week and the rest work a 4 day week.

This is a position that could suit anyone who enjoys being a good GP vet and working in a busy place with a great team, as well as anyone keen to make the most of the facilities available - it really is a job that you can make into what you want and could suit vets with or studying for a certificate.

Our client base is extremely diverse - many people come to us as they cannot afford to go to many private veterinary practices but we also see many owners (often insured) who visit us in order to support the Animal Shelter so there is often plenty of scope to work cases up thoroughly. Likewise, our staff find working at and funding an Animal Shelter very rewarding.

We have high clinical standards and a fantastic nurse to vet ratio which we think allows us to provide a really high standard of care to our patients without being focused on profit.

Our Senior Vet is a surgical certificate holder, so we undertake more advanced surgery in-house. Our practice can also support VISA applications.

40hrs a week over 4 days (8.30am to 6.30pm), inc paid designated breaks.

1:3 Saturday mornings (8.30am till 12am) on a rota basis (consults only - with time back in lieu the following week).
