The Role

We are looking for an experienced small animal vet to join our team, we have We have full diagnostic capabilities such as ultrasound, digital radiography, endoscopy, laparoscopic equipment as well as a recently installed CT scanner, this complements a team which included certificate holders in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, medicine, imaging and cardiology ensuring that we have a dynamic group which can support and help develop colleagues at all stages in their careers. We provide a supportive, caring and friendly network with regular social nights from ‘boozy lunches’ to ‘murder mystery nights!’

We have a small animal position available for a vet with at least 1 years experience.

We are also looking for a large animal/mixed vet to join us. MRCVS only please.

Work 5 days per week.

The Opportunity

Our full-time vets work 39 hours per week split over 4 days plus 1:12 Saturday mornings, plus a fair share of the out of hours rota. We are committed to providing our own out of hours services for our clients and their pets; we use our own team, in our own premises, and with access to the pet’s records. This is not only a huge benefit for our clients and their pets, but we believe it also benefits our team’s experience and development. If you don’t want to undertake out of hours work this isn’t the role for you.

Generally, over the course of a day, you will see a mix of consults ranging from the routine healthcare to emergencies. To make relocating easy, we’ll provide:
Return economy flights from the UK to Perth
Quality furnished accommodation close to the hospital (600m)
Your accommodation is within walking distance of the practice and provides everything you need to settle into life in Western Australia.

The Role

Choose the roster that suits your lifestyle.

We offer flexible rostering to fit around your personal and professional commitments, including:

12-hour overnight shifts (9:00 pm - 9:00 am)
10-hour overnight shifts (10:00 pm - 8:00 am) (Pro rata remuneration)
Short evening shifts (5:00 pm – 11:00 pm) ($85 per hour)
A varied shift including consultations, emergency surgery and hospital case management

Excellent Remuneration

Weeknights

$1,159 per shift (including super)

PLUS Commission Approximately $400 per shift plus additional commissions paid for surgery

Weekends

$1,848 per shift (including super)

PLUS Commission Approximately $400 per shift plus additional commissions paid for surgery
