A new challenge at a rapidly growing independent, family run practice
We are looking for that special someone to come and join the S.T.A.R family! The S.T.A.R. Vet Clinic is a rapidly expanding and thriving small animal practice. We are an independent, family run business and we have a strong focus on pain management and rehabilitation and are one of only a few 'vet-led' rehabilitation clinics in the country. We have a varied case load of both surgical and medical cases and these are complemented by our sports medicine and rehabilitation services. Our building is purpose built and we have great facilities including direct digital radiography, ultrasonography and a comprehensive in-house IDEXX laboratory. We also have an extensive range of rehabilitation equipment including an aquatic treadmill, class IV laser, therapeutic ultrasound, neuromuscular stimulation and a state-of-the-art Gait4Dog Gait Analysis System. We also offer massage, physiotherapy and acupuncture services.
We are looking for a small animal vet to join the 'first opinion' side of this multi-disciplinary clinic. We would welcome a confident and preferably experienced (although a confident new graduate would be considered), small animal vet who is passionate about their job and dedicated to providing excellent care to both their patients and clients. You must have the determination to not only develop professionally but also be instrumental in developing the practice as a whole. We believe that it is crucial to give clients and patients time to discuss their concerns and get to know us, so you must have excellent communication skills as well as a friendly, enthusiastic, caring and compassionate personality. As we are a very unique practice, we feel that it is crucial to appoint that 'special person' who will fit into this well respected, but slightly 'quirky' clinic and become a member of the S.T.A.R. family.
The position is full time with a four day working week and a shared rota for saturday mornings (1 in 3). No OOH, Sundays or Bank Holidays. Salary is dependent on experience, monthly bonus scheme and company pension provided. CPD is funded and encouraged, RCVS fees paid. 6 weeks annual holiday plus birthday off (or closest convenient day)
If you would like to visit us prior to formally submitting an application, you would be more than welcome. Just drop us an email at the address below and we can arrange a time for a cuppa and a chat.
