VS required for Struthers & Scott Vet Practice in Stirlingshire
The Role
Struthers & Scott are looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon to join our 1st opinion small animal practice on a full/part time basis, working within our Doune Clinic. Working on various caseloads including dentistry whilst utilising your surgical skills, and perhaps even see to an occasional snake bite. We are also the preferred vet for the local safari park and although this is already covered by one of the vets in the practice there are opportunities on occasion to have some of the animals in the surgery.
Rota Pattern
40 hours per week (full time role, part time hours available) Working over 4 days 1:4 Saturday mornings (8:30am-12:30pm) On call is one night per week from 7pm until 7.30am. (This is from home and is a very quiet on call) No out of hours at the weekends as this is outsourced
Salary
Up to £50,000 negotiable depending on experience. Welcome bonus of up to £1,500. Relocation allowance of up to £7,000.
About Us
Our team consists of 5 vets, 5 RVN’s and 5 reception staff. We have a beautiful purpose-built facility at Doune, which is well equipped with digital x-ray, new ultrasound scanner and new dental x-ray, an operating theatre with a separate dental operating suite and x-ray room. We also hold our International Cat Care - Gold Award. The Trossachs and Loch Lomond National Parks are close by if you enjoy outdoor pursuits, and only 45 minutes from Glasgow and Edinburgh
Applicant Requirements
Must be RCVS registered and ideally have small animal experience and confidence with sole charge.
