Here at Christopher Carter Veterinary Surgery, we are hoping to find an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team. We pride ourselves in offering our Vets excellent clinical exposure alongside versatility. Therefore, you will have a varied case load of consultations and surgery. You don’t need to worry if Surgery is an interest of yours, but you’ve not yet had much exposure, our experienced and supportive team are eager to invest in training and aiding in developing your existing skill set. We also have the opportunity for some sole charge working if you are a more experienced Vet.

Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours offers a balance that truly flexes with you and your lifestyle no matter what stage you are in your career. We are a single site practice, and our current running times are between 9.00am and 7.00pm across 4.5 days a week. As standard we offer a half day off on a set day each week. We also cover 1:4 Saturday mornings with no OOH required as this is covered by our sister company Vets Now.

Join Our Excellent Team
Our experienced team of 5 Veterinary Surgeons includes a certificate holder in surgery who is keen to support those with the same interest. We pride ourselves on creating an environment that encourages professional growth, our nursing team attest to that, comprising of 8 RVN's who have all been trained and then qualified whilst at Christopher Carter. We have an excellent Animal Care Assistant, a dedicated Practice Manager (who is also an RVN) and two wonderful Receptionists. We are invested in our local community and with this in mind, the surgery looks after the local Blue Cross branch and a Vet and Nurse operate on our premises one day a week.
