Probably the friendliest vets in Sheffield!
After many years with us, Lynne is relocating back to her home county of Shropshire so we have a rare vacancy from April. We would initially be offering three days a week but this would reduce to two and a half days a week when another vet returns from maternity leave. Overtime will be available when other vets are on holiday.
Highfields has been established for over fifty years and has maintained its friendly traditional Yorkshire values whilst also keeping bang up to date. We firmly believe that clients will not care how much we know until they know how much we care. The practice is thriving and has grown every year for the last decade. We manage the vast majority of cases in-house with the support of visiting specialists (Ophthalmologist, Orthopaedic surgeon, Cardiologist). The permanent team consists of 5 vets, 5 RVNS, 2 trainee nurses, practice manager, three receptionists and two dog groomers.
We are looking for a vet with some experience but support will always be readily available. Salary negotiable depending on experience and skills.
No OOH (the local veterinary hospital takes this on for us). 1:5 weekend rota (Sat 9am-4pm, Sun 10am-12pm). Five weeks holiday. CPD encouraged and funded well (at least £1000 a year available).
