Veterinary Surgeon required at Wilton House Veterinary Clinic
We are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team at Wilton House Veterinary Clinic. We will accept both part time and full time applications. Working hours are flexible and will be between 8am & 7pm weekdays and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings 8.30am – 1.30pm. No out of hours are required and no sole charge. Salary will depend on experience and qualifications.

We are in Guisborough which is located on the edge of The North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Multiple beaches are close by and the vibrant city’s of Newcastle and Durham are easily accessible.
Our team pride themselves on offering an exceptional care and we like to treat our patients as if they are our own. We have an amazing team of extremely experienced Veterinary Nurses and Animal Care Assistants who are there to help whenever needed. We have all the usual toys to enjoy - fully equipped theatre, digital x-ray, ultrasound and an in-house laboratory.
Our supportive team is made up of 5.5 Veterinary Surgeons, one of which is enrolled in a GP vet certificate. Our amazing Head Nurse is passionate about weight management and senior care. In 2020 she won pet slimmer of the year with one of our lovely patients and in 2018 she won the senior support nurse. She was also runner up for managing weight with excellence and the senior support nurse award in 2020 and 2019. The rest of the team involves 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses who run all the nurse clinics with different areas of interests including behaviour, feline medicine and diabetes. We have one VCA who is soon to be a Student Veterinary Nurse, 3 Animal Care Assistants, a Practice Manager and 7 Receptionists. We are a very friendly team, full of fun and personality. We love to help our local charities including judging their fun dog shows and donating prizes. We also love anything that involves cakes, sweets and chocolates but who doesn’t!
The ideal candidate will be RCVS registered, be competent in all routine surgeries and consults. You will be an enthusiastic, passionate and caring individual.
