For vets who value time trust and doing things properly

Job Description

Veterinary Surgeon
Full Time | South Norfolk | No OOH
A role for vets who value time, trust and doing things properly
We believe great veterinary care starts with kindness, curiosity and respect — for our patients, our clients and each other.
We are a growing mobile small animal practice based just south of Norwich, known locally for delivering thoughtful, compassionate, high-quality care in people’s homes. We are now looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon who shares our values and wants to practise in a way that feels sustainable, meaningful and clinically rewarding.
[emoticon:b898f8c8d1844a76bdae37d1b5c3f943] How We Work
We give our vets time — time to listen, to think, and to work cases up properly
We build long-term relationships with highly bonded clients who trust us
We operate a no-blame, just culture, where learning is encouraged and people feel safe to speak up
We take pride in the care we provide during in-home euthanasia, supporting families through one of the hardest moments they will face
Although our consultations take place in clients’ homes, we are supported by a static clinical base for surgery, dentistry and X-rays, allowing us to offer a full GP service without compromise.

🧠 About the Role
Full time: four-day week, 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, No out-of-hours
First-opinion caseload typical of small animal GP
Species mix: dogs, cats, chickens and the occasional rabbit
No large animal or equine work
We particularly welcome vets with interests in: Behaviour, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Internal medicine

[emoticon:36893129bc634daa8f123c7e038115f3]⚕️ About You
 You will be:
A confident, experienced small animal vet (minimum 4 years’ experience)
Someone who values clear, empathetic communication
A team player who enjoys collaboration and shared problem-solving
Interested in contributing to the future direction of the practice
Most importantly, you will align with our values. We are preparing to transition to an Employee Ownership Trust within the next 12–18 months,  and are looking for someone who wants to be part of something long-term, rather than just filling a rota.

[emoticon:21c2a8230a80438bba8b14f3f28f23a9] What We Offer
Salary: £57,000 – £67,000 DOE
Mileage allowance (full driving licence and own car required)
5 weeks’ holiday plus bank holidays
35 hours CPD, fully funded (No fixed budget — we actively support learning and professional growth)
A supportive, respectful working environment where wellbeing matters

[emoticon:e8b48dd11aa142a1bf769add09114643] Location
We are based just south of Norwich, consistently rated as one of the UK’s happiest places to live.
With the Norfolk Broads and coast nearby and excellent road and rail links to London, it’s a location that supports both work and life outside it.
