Veterinary Surgeon
Victoria Vets, Dowlais – Flexible working with no OOH
Up to £75,000 DOE plus up to £5,000 Welcome Bonus plus up to £5,000 Relocation Allowance

Here at Victoria Veterinary Practice, we are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our established team. You will mainly be based at Dowlais with an average of one day per week at Aberdare. 

If you enjoy taking charge of your own cases and providing excellent care to clients, this role is perfect for you. We have the caseload and experience to support both medical and surgical (as well as Orthopaedics) interests and we will provide you with the skills/resources to reach your career goals.

We would welcome full or part time applicants. Typically, the full-time position is 40 hours over 4 days per week with no OOH and no Bank Holidays.

Victoria Veterinary Practice is a community-minded, multi-branch veterinary practice. Both our sites (Dowlais & Aberdare) are situated in the South Wales valleys with easy access to Cardiff. Our Dowlais is site is near the beautiful Brecon Beacons.

State of the art facilities

Our state-of-the-art facilities boasts advanced equipment. At our Dowlais site, we have a dedicated lab for all in house testing, dental suite, 2 theatres, separate dog and cat kennels, large prep area, isolation ward, ultrasound machine with cardiac probe, digital radiography. At Aberdare, we have Digital xrays, dental suite, separate dog/cat kennels and an ultrasound machine.

Our team comprises of our CD (working towards a Small Animal Postgraduate certificate and carries out Orthopaedics) 3 experienced Vets, 6 RVNS, 1 SVN, 1 ANA and 6 supporting team members.
