Veterinary Surgeon - Hull, Flexible and Part-Time Hours Considered

Job Description

Saving Pets, Changing Lives at PDSA……. As one of the Sunday Times Top 100 Not for Profit organisations, PDSA is a great place to work!

We have an amazing opportunity for an RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon to join us at our Pet Hospital in Hull.  This is a full time role, however we are more than happy to discuss hours of work depending on candidate's needs.

One of the many things our Vets love about working in Hull is the great work life balance it gives….no out of hours and just 1 in 7 Saturday mornings!

As a Vet at Hull PDSA, you will deliver veterinary care to a large client base truly in need of your help. There is a hugely varied medical and surgical caseload, but our aim is not to only treat, but to prevent disease and educate owners to improve animal welfare. It is not just about remote consults, you will be seeing clients and their animals with the opportunity to ensure your skills remain current.

Hull have a highly experienced team of vets, so there is always someone to discuss that difficult case with, or if you want support tackling surgical procedures that are new to you. Despite the level of experience, there are no egos at Hull, they all just want to help each other get the job done!

Hull are also very lucky to have a large and highly experienced team of RVNs, whose years of experience and practical skills exceed expectations on a daily basis.

The team at Hull truly believe they are better together, which creates a positive work environment where people can thrive.

Your safety is our priority in these challenging times and be reassured that we are doing all we can to protect colleagues and clients. There are comprehensive safe ways of working in place across all of our hospitals with all the guidance, support and equipment you need to do your job safely and successfully.

It’s not just about the physical environment, we care about your well-being and provide lots of tools and support for you and your family to feel safe and supported whatever your circumstances.

Some of the many other benefits of working at PDSA include:

  • Allocated CPD funding of 37.5 hours
  • 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Contributory Pension Scheme
  • Life assurance – 4 x annual salary
  • RCVS fees paid in full

If you want to join an amazing team and make a real difference to clients and their pets, we would love to hear from you.
