Veterinary Surgeon, part-time

Part-time vet needed to join our friendly, independently owned small animal practice in Milngavie, Glasgow.

We would love to find someone to join our team. Our practice has a great local reputation of which we are incredibly proud. We pride ourselves on client and patient care.

Our team consists of 4 vets, 2 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 2 receptionists and practice manager. We are also currently expanding our team, recruiting a full time animal care assistant.

This is a part-time position. We are looking for a vet to work on a two week rota as follows:

Week 1 Thursday 8.30am-7pm

Friday 8.30am-7pm

Saturday 8.30am-12pm

Week 2 Thursday 8.30am-7pm

Friday 8.30am-1pm

There are no other out of hours or other weekend hours.

While we are looking to cover these hours, we are very open to considering more hours should a candidate be looking for something between this and a full time role.

The successful candidate will be an experienced, RCVS registered veterinary surgeon, confident with all aspects of first opinion veterinary medicine.

Must work well as part of a team and possess excellent communication skills.

A willingness to support younger or less experienced colleagues, in particular assisting with learning new surgical procedures would be desirable.

The Package

Salary £40,000-65,000 per annum (pro rata), DOE

RCVS and VDS fees paid.

25 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata).

Discount for own pets.

CPD allowance £1000, may be increased for special interests.
