About Us

The practice has recently changed over to 10min bookable consults, so is no longer a walk in clinic, which has received positive feedback from our lovely customers. It is spacious and well equipped, including digital x-ray, consult rooms, separate kennels, cattery, prep and theatre.The practice has excellent transport links, including the M1 and a direct train to London nearby.

 

Derby City Centre Masterplan - designed to generate 4,000 jobs, 1,900 homes and leverage 33.5bn in new investment between 2015 and 2030. Community and Place Regeneration - to create better-connected communities, access to sustainable transport and encourage low carbon travel choices. For those of you who enjoy the outdoors, the beautiful Peak District National Park is nearby.

 

Our team consist of 3 Vets, 1 Head RVN and 2 x SVNs, 2 Animal Nursing Assistants and 4 Receptionists. There is also a dedicated Head of Practice. Morale is high in the team, with everyone wanting to do their best. All staff members are encouraged to contribute towards decision-making, and are encouraged have their own lead areas to grow.

 

We currently host puppy training classes, which are a huge success, and we are in the process of becoming a cat friendly practice too.

About the role

The position is 40 hours per week, over 4 or 5 days. 1 in 3 weekends (Saturdays only) for which time in lieu will be given, late evenings and bank holidays on a rota basis, but no OOH.

Applicant Requirements

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Derby practice for an experienced Vet Surgeon. Our ideal candidate would be confident and competent in all soft tissue surgeries and basic orthopedics.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to gain experience in leading and supporting a vet team and contribute to the management, organisation and financial performance of the practice by working with the Head of Practice.
