Worcestershire's premier independent practice requires an additional vet

Job Description

Our proudly independent practice requires a motivated and confident vet primarily based in our main surgery in Droitwich. Investment in training (GPCerts) and equipment (laparoscopy, dental radiography, ultrasound, etc) reflects our commitment to good quality medicine in a first opinion setting.
We offer:
• Competitive negotiable salary, with RCVS, BVA, BSAVA, and VDS
subscriptions paid for
• Flexible part or full-time role to suit. No OOH
• Fully funded CPD
• Professional development and well-being support
• Genuine long-term prospects for the right candidate wishing
to settle in the glorious Worcestershire area

We are a proudly independent practice and we work closely with other businesses and groups in the local area as part of the rural Worcestershire community. We like our staff to share that feeling of belonging. The practice has invested heavily in training and equipment in order that we can provide good quality healthcare in our first opinion practice, and we encourage our vets to develop areas of expertise/interest. In recent times colleagues have completed GP Certs in surgery and dermatology and an exotics GP Cert is in progress. We also benefit from working with a cardiology specialist (Heart Vets), certificate ophthalmologist (Veterinary Eye Referrals) and a chartered veterinary physiotherapist (Bradford Physiotherapists), all of whom come to the practice on a regular basis to provide additional services to our clients.  We have purchased and updated ultrasound and digital radiography equipment, commenced laparoscopic procedures and have a full range of orthopaedic equipment for TPLOs, fracture repairs etc. A core of experienced vets and nurses have worked in the practice for many years, giving a strong level of continuity of care to our clients and their pets, but we look forward to meeting and working with someone new. A colleague is required who is confident in all aspects of first opinion veterinary practice.  Experience or an interest in internal medicine or imaging would be advantageous but not compulsory.  Emphasis is also placed on well-being and support, with suitable training and assistance in place to ensure our staff are happy and looked after.
