Veterinary Orthopaedic Intern required at Penmellyn Vets

Job Description

The Role

Here at Penmellyn Vets we have an exciting opportunity for a Surgical Intern to join our orthopaedic referral team where you will work directly under the supervision of our RCVS diplomate, Phil Witte.

We offer the opportunity to be heavily involved in the management of a wide variety of orthopaedic and neurosurgical cases. The caseload is high, making this an ideal role to gain familiarity with the routine and the unusual over the course of a 12-month employment. Preparation and submission of research presentations and/or publications will be actively encouraged.

The position also offers a year in close proximity to the Cornish coast and surrounded by a team of like-minded colleagues with whom to enjoy it.
 

Applicant Requirements

Ideal candidates should have some general practice experience, an excellent work ethic and the ability to work well in a team. Candidates demonstrating a desire to gain significant experience in a short period of time, enthusiasm for and interest in surgery and the wish to pursue a surgical residency will be favoured.
