Veterinary Surgeon required at Boyce and Houston Vets
Here at Boyce & Houston Vets, we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our team! We are a first opinion practice with a varied caseload. The role will involve carrying out consultations, vaccination clinics, surgery, clinical workups, and diagnostic imaging. We are looking for someone who works well in a team but also independently, can be flexible and have an interest in the working of the practice.

This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours over 4 days per week, where at least one will be a surgery day. There will be 1 in 4 Saturdays (9-12) and no out of hours.
We are a well-established, friendly small animal practice in the west of Glasgow in Clydebank. We moved into our refurbished practice in January 2019. We are located on the outskirts of Glasgow, close to Glasgow Airport, the city centre and Loch Lomond with good public transport links.
The practice is fully equipped with 2 operating theatres, 5 consult rooms, separate cat and dog wards, Ultrasonography, digital x-ray with Signal Pet AI, in-house biochemistry and haematology.
Currently we have 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Animal Care Assistant, 7 Support Staff members and a Practice manager. Two of our Nurses have ECC certificates and we have a qualified OV Vet. We fundraise for Flutterby (Cystic Fibrosis) charity with an annual cycle, we have had some of our team participate in the Doddie Weir walk, Fund raising for Street Vet and Homeless boxes at Christmas. We are proud to have a very low staff turnover and a very friendly and experienced team. Our Clinical Directors are supportive of our Vets, Nurses and Support Staff and understand the importance of everyone’s role within the team and the practice.
