We are a small animal mobile veterinary practice who set up 8 years ago.  Our vets work out of converted vehicles alongside a qualified nurse or veterinary care assistant.  We have a brand new fully converted van ready to hit the road, and we now just need to find a vet! Our vans have everything you need in them, including the ability to print medication labels easily. We do on average 10 mobile home visit appointments in a full working day.

We also have an operating theatre in Treeton, Rotherham and there is the opportunity to have at least one operating morning here per week if desired but this is not essential.

We all start and end our day at our Barlborough base which is just off junction 30 of the M1 on the Sheffield/Chesterfield border. We then carry out home visits across Sheffield, Chesterfield and Rotherham.  We find that house visits give us a better client bond, better job satisfaction, and more enjoyment of our job as we are out and about driving through the countryside and not trapped inside all day!

We are looking for someone to work a minimum of 15 hours a week, but we have scope to increase this to 40 hours a week if needed. We do not work evenings or bank holidays. The hours for this job can be tailored around school hours if needed - you can choose the hours that you work and we are open to any pattern, even if it needs to change week by week! I work flexibly and this allows me to be there for my children whenever they need me.  It has meant that I have not missed out on anything as they have grown up.

In order to work for us you must be a qualified vet, registered with RCVS to work in the UK. You must also have a full UK driving licence to be able to drive our vehicles.  Our vans can be driven on a normal driving licence, you don't need any extra driving qualification!
