Veterinary Surgeon required at The Rowe Veterinary Group
We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and passionate Veterinary Surgeon who will take the practice from strength to strength in their role as Clinical Lead. In this role you’ll be leading and supporting a motivated and talented team of veterinary surgeons, developing clinical protocols and ensuring the day to day running of the practice goes smoothly.
The rota will include working 4 days per week, currently with Monday's off, however can be flexible for the right candidate. There will also be one afternoon of non-clinical admin time per week, 1:8 weekend commitment working at our main hospital with two other Vets covering our daytime out of hours.
The salary will be up to £70,000 depending on experience.
The Thornbury Practice is well-equipped with a friendly team, based just outside Bristol. It has the benefit of on-site digital X-ray, separate dental X-ray equipment, ultrasound, blood pressure monitoring & ECG. We are a friendly, supportive team working to a high clinical standard. This is a busy first opinion practice, which sees a variety of interesting cases. You will find each day different and you will be able to use your clinical judgment to manage and investigate your own cases.
As the Clinical Lead you will work alongside a team of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses a team of Care Assistants, and a dedicated Support Team. The team takes great pride in the relationships they have built with their patients, clients, and the local community.
The ideal candidate will have sound surgical skills as well as excellent consultation skills. An approachable and consultative style is essential in this role. Support is available for anyone interested in studying for a certificate, or who wishes to gain further leadership and management training. We are looking for someone who strives for clinical excellence, client and patient care, has a passion to do things right clinically, and importantly is a great team player.
