Job Description

Apollo Vets, Essex
Up to £75,000 DOE plus £10,000 Welcome Bonus & £10,000 Relocation Allowance

Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is confident in surgery, diagnostics, and consulting? If so, Apollo Vets have a fantastic opportunity for you! This role is perfect for someone with good communication skills and a positive can-do attitude. You will have access to a surgical caseload alongside a consulting rota, with the support of our very experienced team of registered veterinary nurses and support staff, as well as a surgical certificate holder.

Work life balance that works for you

Our people are at the heart of everything that we do, that’s why we know that work-life balance is vital in supporting our people to be their best selves. Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours offers a balance that truly flexes with you and your lifestyle no matter what stage you are in your career. Our vets usually chose to work 40 hours over a 4-day week between the hours of 8am – 7pm however if you are looking for part time hours to work around your lifestyle, we are open to discuss. You will also work a share of 1:5 Saturday mornings between 8am – 1pm, with no out-of-hours requirement.

Develop your skills with us

We are a three-site practice with a very family-friendly atmosphere, set in the semi-rural village of Black Notley, surrounded by open fields and glorious countryside. Located just off the A120 a 15min car journey will take you to Stansted Airport and we have direct train services into the City of London. Our facilities include digital radiography including dental, Ultrasonography and investigating laparoscopy. By far the best part about working for us is getting to be part of our amazing team, we have 4 full-time Veterinary Surgeons and 1 part-time vet. They are supported by 6 registered veterinary nurses who have many years of experience and a wealth of knowledge, there are also 3 student veterinary nurses, a Practice Manager, Head Receptionist, and 5 reception team members so you are never short of support! Across the team, we have a surgical certificate holder, and others currently undertaking dermatology and ophthalmology certificates.
