We are seeking a Small Animal Vet for our buzzing Bournemouth practice

Job Description

We are seeking a Small Animal Vet for our buzzing, RCVS accredited South Coast practice

Welcome to Natterjacks – where our team really means everything to us.

This small animal position is well supported by a team of 8 friendly and experienced vets, as well as our own in-house orthopaedic team. We are lucky to have our truly excellent nurses, ANAs, and support team. Located across our two sister sites in Bournemouth and Poole, we emphasize on having fun at work and believe in having a great quality of life.

Why would I want to work at Natterjacks?

We have an inclusive and approachable style that has enticed a diverse client base with an interesting caseload to boot. We have something for everyone! We currently have a good range of equipment and even a CT scanner at our Poole practice. We are continually investing in new facilities to provide our team with the opportunity to grow and flourish. We would support any ambition to specialise and would fund all necessary training.

The area:

Situated in beautiful Dorset, the Bournemouth & Poole area has lots to offer, meaning plenty of options for enjoying your well-earned down time! It boasts miles of idyllic coastline for enjoying high energy water sports or leisurely walks, super shopping facilities and a multitude of dining options to suit all tastes.

There are great links to motorways and public transport. Bournemouth has its own airport too.

So, what makes a good Natterjacks Vet?

You will need a splash of clinical excellence and ambition – we have grown to become one of the largest and most popular practices in the area. Subscribing to the same easy-going and positive philosophy we have will be a winning combination. We have no egos and no attitudes – we work hard for one another and our lovely clientele.

What would my work pattern look like?

The usual full-time role would involve an average of 40 hours per week, working over 4 weekdays per week, and 1 in 4 Saturdays (with one other Vet). We don’t do out-of-hours work and there’s no sole charge. We mean what we say – work/life balance is key to our team having a great quality of life.

Sounds intriguing; let’s talk benefits:

  • Salary is from £43,000 DOE
  • HealthShield cash plan – with a range of shopping and store discounts included.
  • £1750 CPD allowance with 5 days paid CPD leave
  • 6.6 weeks holiday, including Bank Holidays
  • Opportunity to buy and sell holiday
  • Enhanced sick, maternity, and paternity pay
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Discounts for your own pets.

Fancy joining the family?
