Job Description

Due to the continued expansion of the BSAVA Postgraduate Certificate Programmes, an opportunity has arisen for a veterinary surgeon to join the BSAVA Education team to act as an Online Education Coordinator for the certificate programmes. The successful candidate will provide academic support to the postgraduate students enrolled on the certificates by moderating the teaching forums, providing formative feedback on submitted assessments and ensuring the learning resources are kept up to date.  

The ideal candidate will hold a veterinary degree and will have clinical experience of working as vet in small animal practice in the UK, with a good understanding of a wide range of clinical disciplines. They will have personal experience of studying for a postgraduate veterinary qualification and will hold a postgraduate clinical veterinary qualification (e.g. postgraduate certificate or diploma) and previous experience working within undergraduate or postgraduate veterinary education. Excellent communication skills, team working abilities and organisation are essential.

The role is home based and 20 hours per week, with a flexible working pattern permitted. Remuneration is £17,365 - £19,500 per annum (full time equivalent of £35,269 to £39,000) with an excellent benefits package, including 7% employer contribution pension, life assurance and private healthcare.
