About us

Hawick Veterinary Practice is a long established and successful mixed practice located in the beautiful and unspoiled Scottish borders. We pride ourselves on our enthusiasm and forward thinking, and we ensure we are always looking for new ways to modernise. The practice is RCVS PSS Core standard (and aiming for GP) and we have recently attained an ISFM Gold award. We are proud holders of the Bronze iiE Sustainability award.

We are a purpose-built, RCVS accredited practice that provides excellent care for small animals, farm animals and equines in the rural town of Hawick, Roxburghshire, and became a member of Linnaeus in 2018. Hawick is approximately one hour from Edinburgh, Carlisle and Newcastle, and is one of the biggest towns in the little-known Scottish Borders. Recent significant investment has allowed us to improve our facilities and expand our services to provide a high-quality progressive working environment for our loyal team. We strive to provide excellent care for every patient large or small with a superior personal customer experience.

We are proud of our well-equipped surgery with multiparameter monitoring for anaesthesia, ‘bear’ huggers, ultrasound, xray, dental xray etc.

At Linnaeus, we are committed to supporting the physical and mental health of all our associates. We have an amazing team of Mental Health First Aiders (MHFA) across our practices and central support office in addition to a confidential Employee Assistance Programme which is available for everyone.
