A solid, structured mentoring programme is in place for less experienced
An exciting opportunity exists in our independent high standard mixed practice on the Somerset levels for a Veterinary Surgeon.
The role is a mix of approximately 60% small animal and 40% farm work (no equine). You will join our team of six full time and one part time vet and be supported by a large nursing team and a dedicated reception team.
Our focus is on preventive health in both herd health and domestic pets. Structured mentoring from an experienced team including an RCVS specialist in Cattle Health and Production, will be provided. 1 in 6 out of hours rota with full support provided, dependant on experience. Standard 20 minute appointments for small animal medical cases.
Experience would be an advantage, however a solid, structured mentoring programme is in place for new graduates or for those with less experience. An interest in general practice is essential, with the potential for involvement with anything from herd health and preventive medicine to small animal internal medicine and surgery and the desire to pursue CPD options and postgraduate qualifications, which are fully supported and funded.
Please apply by sending a covering letter and CV to Alyson Gough, Practice Manager, Orchard Veterinary Group, Wirrall Park Road, Glastonbury, BA6 9XE or by email email@example.com
