Equine Vet required at Fellowes Farm Equine Clinic
We have an exciting opportunity for an ambulatory vet to join our 10-vet Equine only practice in lovely Cambridgeshire.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is confident and friendly with effective communication skills at all levels.
The Practice offers excellent care to a diverse range of equine patients and also provides veterinary services for Huntingdon Racecourse, Point-to-Points and numerous FEI events.
As part of the ambulatory team, you will be supported by the entire practice; including vets with a broad range of special interests and certificates, qualified equine nurses and a knowledgeable and enthusiastic support team. You will also have the backing of a well-equipped clinic with full surgical facilities and scintigraphy.
We have the usual array of mobile equipment (DR, ultrasound, shockwave, gastroscope) and a range of bespoke Apps designed to make your job easier.
A supportive working environment focuses on well-being and trying to get the work / life balance correct. The standard working day starts with hospital rounds at 8.15, finishes at 6.15 with a 45-minute scheduled lunch break. The duty rota is approximately a 1 in 10 first and backup rota.
The role offers you potential to expand your professional interests, with funded CPD and development encouraged. Certificate holders, or those studying for a certificate, will be encouraged, however, the right person for our team is more important than experience alone.
