About this role
As a Veterinary Professional you already have a pretty good idea as to the day-to-day requirements of being a talented GP Here are some details:

  • Full time (37,5 hour week) position; 7,5 hour shifts including 30 mins paid lunch.
    • Skills in Dentistry, orthopedics or imaging will be highly regarded 
    • Ideal for a vet with 2 years of full time experience 
    • 450,000Kr – 650,00Kr, (Depending on skills and expereince in accordance with the Norwegian Veterinary Union guidelines.)
    • 37.5 hour week (no Saturdays)
    • Both clinics are open from 08.00 – 18.00 Mon -Thu and 08.00 – 15.00 on Fridays, and closed for all weekends and public holidays (unless on call)
    • 30 min Consultations
    • On Call rota is : 1 night every 5 weeks and 1 weekend in 8 weeks. (Weekend On Call is normally shared with 2 other vets, with an additional 4th vet on “second” on call and access to a vet nurse when required) 
    • Time off in lieu, after On Call duty.
    • All Vets receive a significant percentage of the On Call fees. (in addition to standard salary) So it pays to be On Call.

    We are located just outside the oil capital of Europe in the west of Norway. Both of our clinics are located in between the long sandy beaches of Jæren to the West; the fjords with their islands a short drive to the North; the Skiing mountains of Sirdal with Preikestolen to the East and a bit further South, the seaside coastal villages of Sørlandet (Please Google these ;-) ). Making it excellent location for those that love being surrounded by space. And for those that like the outdoors. At the same time, we have Norway´s 3rd biggest city on our doorstep, offering excellent shopping.
