Although a technically successful lateral wall resection has been carried out in this dog by the referring practice, because of unresponsive Pseudomonas infection (affecting the horizontal canal and middle ear), the procedure has failed to produce a clinical improvement.  Poor case selection is an important raeson for clinical failure in ear canal surgery.
