This cat presented with a discharging sinus (clinically a recurrent abscess) over the frontal sinus. This was due to occlusion of the nasofrontal ostium from priot trauma. Surgical exploration was carried out to debride the sinus and re-establish the nasofrontal ostium. The sinus roof was opened with a trephine and then the opening enlarged with rongeurs. At the end of surgery, the soft tissues are clsoed over the bone defect (no bone flaps are preserved and there is no need to attempt a reconstruction of the bone: this will reform in due course).
