Canine Elbow. Moderate OA. Lateral view

Lateral: 15 month old Rottweiler
The fully flexed view is much the most useful.
A well developed and fairly large osteophyte is evident on the caudal anconeus.
There has been some change to the profile of the proximo-cranial extremity of the head of the radius - the start of another osteophyte.
Some authorities describe "sclerosis" of the proximal ulna in these cases but this is an inconsistent, unreliable sign.
The humero-ulnar and humero-radial joint "spaces" appear regular and even.
