Woodley Equipment Co.
yesterday bought
Anavet
to enhance its in-practice laboratory solution.
Woodley will take over the distribution, service and supply of the Vital Biochemistry machines and associated reagent range from AnaVet.
Anavet is a primarily a supplier of high quality ‘wet chemistry’ systems to the Veterinary market and now forms part of Woodley Diagnostic range portfolio. This further enhances Woodley’s in-practice laboratory solution in line with the MS4 5 Vet Haematology Analyser, the M-Scan II Biochemistry Analyser and the i-STAT1 Portable Critical Care Analyser.
As part of the purchase, Woodley has announced that Alec Winton, the previous owner of AnaVet, has joined Woodley as the UK Veterinary Sales Manager, with primary responsibility for the Veterinary Sales team, focussing on the Wet Chemistry system and heading Corporate Sales.
Mike Wickham, Managing Director of Woodley Equipment said, “This is an exciting opportunity for Woodley which will allow us to compete in all market areas and, most importantly, be able to provide our customers with choice in their in-practice laboratory requirements.”
