First PCV-2 / Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae combination vaccine for EU pigs

The EU Commission has approved the marketing authorisation variation of Boehringer Ingelheim's PCV2 vaccine Ingelvac CircoFLEX. This approval allows the combined use of the pig vaccines Ingelvac CircoFLEX and Ingelvac MycoFLEX in the European Union. Boehringer says it will market this unique vaccine concept under the name FLEXcombo. The company highlights that protection against two of the most prominent and costly pig diseases, Porcine Circovirus Disease (PCVD) and Enzootic Pneumonia, can now be achieved with a single injection instead of up to four injections.
