In these terms and conditions, “we”, “us” and “our” means Working Communities Ltd. “you” and “your” means any individual or organisation that places a job advertisement on any website owned by Working Communities.

These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and all parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Under these terms and conditions, you contract with Working Communities as principle, regardless of whether you are acting directly or indirectly or otherwise on behalf of the advertised employer.

The Job Advertising Service
  1. Advertisers may post job advertisements for veterinary surgeons and other veterinary practice staff on VetSurgeon.org (“the website”) subject to paying the price displayed on the payment page of the site at the time of placing the advertisement, plus applicable Value Added Tax.
  2. Your advertisement is displayed on the site immediately, for a period of 30 days (“the advertising period”) unless deleted earlier by you. If you delete (thereby cancelling) your advertisement prior to the end of the advertising period (for example, if the position is filled), no refund is payable.
  3. Payment is by debit or credit card, the details of which are transmitted direct to Paypal via encrypted connection. We do not store credit card details nor do we share financial details with any 3rd parties.
  4. Payments are processed by Paypal, and subject also to their terms and conditions.
  5. Your advertisement is displayed in the jobs section of the website which is visible publicly to any visitor - both logged in, registered members and casual visitors.
  6. Upon publication, your advertisement will appear in full or in part elsewhere on the website, including the home page or on sitewide banner advertising.
  7. After publication, your advertisement may also appear in full or in part in emails sent to VetSurgeon.org members.
  8. Your advertisement may also appear in full or in part on third party websites not owned or operated by Working Communities, including search engines and other social networks.
  9. At any time after posting your advertisement on VetSurgeon.org and before the advertising period has ended, you may amend or delete your advertisement by visiting the site, clicking ‘Manage My Jobs’ and then ‘Edit’ or ‘Delete’. Such amendments or deletions take effect immediately on VetSurgeon.org, but may take time to take effect, or may not take effect on third party websites where your advertisement is displayed in full or in part.
Our obligations and limitations on liability
  1. Working Communities makes concerted efforts to promote your advertisement to suitable applicants through a variety of methods, but we do not guarantee any response to your advertisement, or that responses will come from individuals suited to the job advertised.
  2. Working Communities takes every effort to provide an uninterrupted service and to ensure that your advertisement is displayed immediately upon submission for the advertising period.
  3. Working Communities shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage whatsoever caused by any delay in publishing an advertisement, or any failure in the display of the advertisement during the advertising period.
  4. In the event of a failure to display the advertisement in a timely manner, or for any part of the advertising period, Working Communities’ liability is limited to a full refund of the price paid for the advertisement, or republication of the advertisement for a period not less than the duration of the failure without additional charge.
  5. Working Communities reserves the right to delete, cancel or suspend any advertisement believed to be in contravention of these terms and conditions, or about which Working Communities receives complaints, without making any refund.
Your Obligations, Warranties and Indemnities.

You undertake to Working Communities that:

  1. Your advertisement is honest, accurate and complies with all legislation applicable to the UK and all codes administered by the Advertising Standards Authority.
  2. If you post an advertisement on the site which contains the name or pictorial representation of any living person, you have obtained the authority of that person to use their name, image or likeness in your advertisement.
  3. Your advertisement does not infringe the copyright, trademark or any other right of any third party, and you indemnify and hold harmless Working Communities against any claim that your advertisement infringes any such right, or is defamatory to a third party.
  4. You are responsible for checking that applicants for the advertised job hold any required qualifications and are suitable for the position.
Cancellations and Refunds
  1. Advertisements may be cancelled at any time after payment is made, by deleting the advert in ‘Manage my adverts’.
  2. However, due to the real-time nature of advertising on the site, and the fact that email alerts are dispatched immediately on publication, we are unable to offer any refund after payment is made, except under the circumstances described under point 4 in ‘Our obligations and limitations on liability’ above.

Working Communities Ltd may at any time revise these Terms and Conditions by updating this posting. You are bound by any such revisions and should therefore periodically visit this page to review the then current Terms and Conditions to which you are bound.
