Animal training and behaviour experts have joined forces to try and end bad practice by poorly trained individuals. The Animal Behaviour and Training Council is being launched to regulate the education and training of those working in the animal behaviour modification sector. The new organisation brings together leaders in the veterinary, welfare, rehoming, animal training and behaviour therapy fields. It aims to set standards for the knowledge and skills required to be a recognised professional. The agreed standards will be used to assess the competency of practitioners before they are included...
