A Vet Surgeon role that you can shape

Holmefield Vets in Leeds have an exciting opportunity for a Vet Surgeon to join their friendly well established team. If successful, you will have the opportunity to shape the role to match your clinical interests as well as work life balance. At Holmefield vets we have an excellent support network of IVC practices, meaning you will have access to a wide range of certificate holders, such as ECC, surgery, medicine, imaging, exotics and much more! 

Join our supportive and experienced Team

This role will entail a mix of consults and surgical cases however, the clinical duties and rota pattern can be tailored to you based on your professional interests. You will be working alongside other experienced vets with special interests in surgery, medicine and imaging and a well organised team of efficient and enthusiastic nurses to help you run your day. We have 15-20minute appointments and diary is managed daily to help with the workload. Our team is very interactive and we welcome feedback to implement changes to benefit out team and enhance our culture. Development is encouraged and you will have fantastic support from our excellent long-standing team.

Sherburn-in-Elmet is a sole charge practice with high clinical standards 
At the Sherburn-in-Elmet site you will have access to a large veterinary consultation room, spacious theatre along with a kennels area. It has accommodation attached to the clinic for team to use on their break times. Free car parking on site.

Brayton practice is a modern, spacious practice with up to date facilities
At the main site you will have access to a recently refurbished site which includes modern, reliable, and well-maintained equipment including digital x-ray, a brand-new ultrasound suitable for both abdominal and cardiac scans, K-laser, multiparameter monitoring machine and doppler blood pressure. We have separate species wards and are proud to be a cat friendly clinic. We also have a separate bereavement room to ensure a pet’s final visit is as peaceful as possible.

Holmefield is a friendly and long established 100% Small Animal practice with an experienced and long-standing team. We are situated in a beautiful semi-rural location in Leeds - Sherburn-in-Elmet.  Sherburn is a fast-growing village and is in a great central location between Leeds, York, Doncaster and Hull, It is well placed for commuters and families looking for a new home between city and country life.  Sherburn is serviced by its own railway station there are regular direct trains to Hull, York and Sheffield, these are all within a reasonable driving distant too.  Sherburn is a very welcoming village with all the amenities you could ask for including an award wining butchers, local bakers, handmade chocolates and old-fashioned sweet, as well as warm welcoming local pubs and cafes.

We can offer flexibility that works for you. A full-time role would be based on 4 days per week (working 9.00 am to 6.30 pm).
