Varied Caseload, Very Varied! and No OOH

Job Description

thisisdurham.com-Check out what you could do in your spare time!

We are an independent small animal clinic in the historic market town of Crook, County Durham. We're looking for an experienced full or part time vet to expand the team (currently 3 vet)

Set 9 mile South-West of Durham City (45 minutes from Newcastle) we're just a few minutes from the beautiful Weardale countryside - perfect for dog walking (we can lend you an energetic Labrador if required) and welcoming country pubs.

There is, of course, a working life too and we have a full and varied caseload to keep you busy. As we do much of the caseload in house there is a good mix of consulting and surgery in the rota.

We are a friendly TP with a strong emphasis on patient care. We have recently expanded into the building next door giving us a brand new operating theatre, prep room with fibre optic dental cart and a newly updated practice lab and X-Ray suite with digital X-Ray and ultrasound. It also gave us space to add a new staff room and designated wards for isolation, small pets and one just for cats.

We offer a competitive salary and bonus scheme along with all the usual-holidays, CPD allowance, RCVS and VDS fees, generous staff discount, cakes, biscuits and a seemingly endless supply of tea bags.

And, most importantly of all....No OOH on call.

Various shifts available if you're looking for part time.

1 in 3 Saturday rota with time off in lieu.
