Financial Systems and Procedures Advisor

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned financial professional to join the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies. You will have a diverse portfolio of experience and significant financial acumen that will enable you ensure that the Veterinary Hospitals and First Opinion practices are operating in the most efficient and fiscally responsible way within the confines of the University milieu.

Based at the expanding Easter Bush Campus, you will provide proactive financial support and advice for the veterinary clinical services. You will understand the needs of the clinics: both educationally and commercially, and you will be able to support the budget process from the ground up.

You will work within the clinics to ensure that financial systems and procedures are in place to maximize efficient practice, reduce waste, and model/predict future requirements to contribute to our overall strategy. This will require you to work closely with the Director of Clinical Services, the clinical leads within the small animal, equine and farm animal areas, and with members of the Easter Bush Finance team, Procurement, Pharmacy, vets, nurses, other University departments and clients.

You will have a business/accountancy qualification and demonstrable experience and knowledge of systems and process reviews within a financial and operational setting. You will also be accustomed and have experience of recommending and implementing financial change management initiatives and previous experience of advising senior management teams. A high level of analytical, organisational and interpersonal skills is required.
