Small Animal Medicine Clinician Bath Veterinary Group Bath BA2 5RL, UK

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time or Part Time
Posted on: 11 Sep 2020

Job Description

The role is available full time or part time and includes 6 weeks holiday plus bank holidays (pro-rata), birthday leave and 6 days for CPD. A CPD budget is provided and clinicians are encouraged to develop areas of interest. As part of Bath Vet Group, we were highly commended in the 2019 Vet Wellbeing Awards. Staff are supported with regular appraisals and teamwork plays an important role in the referral team. An out of hours rota is shared amongst our medics and surgeons, including telephone support and seeing new referral cases.

Bath Veterinary Referrals have an opportunity for a small animal medicine clinician (Advanced Practitioner or Specialist) to join our team. Our referral service is based at the Rosemary Lodge Veterinary Hospital in Bath with onsite CT, MRI, ultrasound and endoscopy facilities. Dedicated referral nurses support the referral clinicians, and our hospital vets and night vets help with inpatient care of referral patients.

The candidate will work alongside our existing two medicine clinicians, four surgeons and one ophthalmologist. An interest in diagnostic imaging will be an advantage - but training will be available for candidates that need to develop these skills.

Benefits (Pro rata):
• 6 days paid CPD leave
• £1250 CPD Allowance per annum
• Private Medical Insurance
• VDS Membership paid
• BVA Membership paid
• Service based holiday entitlement increases

As a Disability Confident Employer we are keen to hear from candidates with disabilities and long term health conditions, and would be happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments needed during the recruitment process.
