Job Description

EQUINE VET VACANCY Border Essex/Herfordshire/Greater London

Galley Hill Equine is an independent, family owned veterinary practice. We are seeking an equine vet to replace our Head Vet who had to retire at short notice due to ill health. Our practice is RCVS PSS accredited and located in the countryside outside the historic town of Waltham Abbey with very easy access to London, Stansted airport, the M25 and M11.

We are dedicated to work with our clients to give the best care and continuity of care and treatment of their horses. The caseload is varied, involving ambulatory care and the opportunities to work up your own cases in modern, custom-built facilities, allowing you to demonstrate and develop your chosen skills. The practice has surgical facilities for standing procedures and knock-down facilities and theatre for more complex work. All the modern diagnostic equipment including endoscope, gastroscope, ultrasound (tendon, thorax and abdomen), DR x-ray and motorised dental equipment is available.

The position is full time with a 1-in-3  rota. We support career development and encourage our staff to study for further certificates. The successful candidate will also have the support of our 3 vet small animal team at VetCall. Early partnership will be available for  a suitable candidate. Please contact the practice manager, Elsa, for more information: galleyhillequine@aol.com or send your CV and covering letter.
