I’m doing some basic market research and I could really use your help.
All I need is your honest answer to this question:

The time when you do a house visit for a preplanned eldrly cat/dog euthanasia and are expected to do it crouched low on the floor with no light to even see a vein or with the animal curled on a lap where you have to try and twist your body through 180 degrees to try and give the injection and the owner says "whilst his sleeping please don't wake him up while doing the deed".

Also a client of mine who has the naughtiest labrador in the world, (not aggressive) but unconrollable and boistrous who contnuoulsy give sthe dogs plenty of treats in the consult to attempt to keep it still. I alwasy comment that you are actually rewarding bad bahviour and she stops but then the following consult she does the same thing againand again with the same conversation...

And on the topic of please hold your cat or dog, what about the rabbit owners that plonk their terrified rabbit on the consult table and just walk away and leave it. I have an internal scream of your rabbit will break its back if it jumps off the table. And even when you politely point out that a strong pair of hands will be needed they then repeatedly keep letting go. My heart jumps during these consults.

Re: Your biggest frustration

Reading forums like his make me feel so much better that I'm not the only person/vet frustrated about some of these things.
