I hope no Veterinary NURSE (VN ) would consider applying-again a good reason to have veterinary nurse a protected title.

The advert should have read "domestic / kennel maid required "

Wynne
Nothing wrong with calling them trainee nursing assistants if they assist with nursing tasks. Perhaps there should be more formal recognition of the title Nursing Assistant.

I cannot see anything wrong with QVN applying for the job if it suits him or her. A vet version of Hugh Grant or Kate Moss may live there after all!

Re: Housekeeper and a VNA!!!
sorry - re read that - not a live in job, that would make a difference
I should think, for the right candidate, that some space could be found in the attic.....

(A few years ago, whilst visiting some ex-pat friends in Jakarta, we were horrified to find that the live-in maid, in a house with at least three spare bedrooms, was expected to live on a camp bed in the corner of a junk-filled garage. They're not friends any longer).

The most telling thing is that the advertiser fully expects non-EU nationals to be applying, in the face of a huge surplus of aspirant SVNs; a good argument for protection of the title and duties of the veterinary nurse, if ever there was one.

Are Fulham and Chelsea quite posh places?

Re: Housekeeper and a VNA!!!
