This week I've managed to see torche, tomahawk, belle and sebastian, the bloody beetroots, nine inch nails, eels, system of a down, franz ferdinand, and tonight - Filter. Been a good end of the month! Plus I have 13 new LP's to listen to...

After watching one of the Bourne trlogy movies - can't remember which they all blend in to one - the theme music, Moby's Extreme Ways has got into my head and I can't get rid of it. Of course its related to the extreme ways special agents work under (yes I know its OTT fiction but it does have some basis in the way CIA and MI5 and other covert operatives work) but I couldn't help but think how it related in some ways to how we deal with the stress of our job especially out of hours - we hate it but we wouldn't do anything else and some of the ways some of us may choose to escape from it with extreme sports - they scare us but we can't resist them.

Well...... I loathe anything that's a deliberate "fusion" (happy accidents and influences are OK), I loathe "prog-rock" and I'm not at all keen on jazz (except New Orleans traditional).

Just stumbled onto this thread which has some good sounds. Someone posted DevilDriver. I enjoyed their gig when they supported 36 Crazy Fists at the arches in glasgow recently.Thought I might add some of the tunes that get me through my week!

I adore this band and have seen them live at least 5 times. I can't speak German which is just as well because the lyrics are quite daft. Glasgow's own Sharleen Spiteri got involved in this one.

Getting excited - shooting Monster Magnet tonight on their 1991 album "spine of god" tour. Even my cancelled 3 pm appointment and people not wanting to vaccinate their animals will not get me rattled today! Batteries charged and memory cards formatted...
