Well, I live quite near that extremity and I have to say that it is quite nice to think something is happening in our neck of the woods for a change, instead of having to drive for hours on the motorway to get anywhere!

I'm nowhere near Cardiff either, I think now this was an error and I will smooth my hackles - it just seemed odd to put a meeting on an extremity, although very welcome to the practices in the immediate vicinity.

Wynne is right, we try to get around most parts of the country every 5-7 years. It's a slow process!

We have had a couple of Welsh meetings in the last five years or so - Cardiff in Nov 2008 and Ewloe in 2007. We haven't been to west Wales for quite a long time.

The next two meetings are going to be in Leeds on 8 March 2012 and in Northern Ireland on 17 May (exact spot TBC).

They try to get to every region approximately every 5 years. The last South Wales regional meeting was in Cardiff, so Haverfordwest is giving West Wales veterinarians a chance
