Loving these ideas! Definitely up for something adventurous. Just wish I could see her face when she finds out she's going hang-gliding followed by quad bike racing, clay pigeon shooting and driving a ferrari......if only my budget would stretch that far!

I was unable to arrange it, but my mother for her 70th wanted to appear on Top Gear and fire Volvos at caravans to destroy them - sort of last coming together of volvo estate and caravan. Pity, wouldn't mind a bash at that myself.

Nonsense! She is only 60. How about sky diving, bungee jumping ( www.ukbungee.co.uk) or a trip to the races.

Mums of 60 like to be pampered. I took my wife for her 60th to Paris as a surprise. Why not consider in Cheshire Carden Park Hotel? Look at their website to see what's available?
