Anyone have one of these? If so can you tell me your thoughts on it. My boss is thinking about upgrading and I just thought I would do some research for him and find out a bit more about it. I am currently awaiting a lab to let me know

Re: Idexx procyte haematology analyser

[quote user="Bob Russell"]

Works well but after sales service from rep is rubbish. Don't rush into it - if they want your custom they will wait until you've made a decision. Otherwise squeeze them for some added extras for free!

Re: Idexx procyte haematology analyser

Does it sound similar to 'this offer for discounted windows is only open if you sign up today'?

Re: Idexx procyte haematology analyser

[quote user="Bob Russell"]

thanks for that, I think there is a time limit on the 'offer'

I don't know this analyser as it is new but Idexx seem to change analysers often. They also are notorious for locking people into set monthly spends on reagents that far exceed their present levels.

We changed to the HM5 last year and find it correlates pretty well with our external lab so it is the first machine in years I feel reasonably happy to believe.

The reagent packs do not seem to have a set expiry date built in so whilst the packs are pricey we get full use from them without the waste we had from our older three part diff HM3 machine. It is therefore cost effective to run even with a low throughput.
