We've been extremely busy too; I hate to think what would have happened to the poor on-call vets if we had closed for the holiday on Friday!!

We are pretty busy too - I hate the hassle you get before and after Bank Holidays, and have nothing but sympathy for the unfortunates on call during them - especially Mondays. It's the worst day to pull as by then even sensible clients are starting to panic!

gosh, we're manicly busy! Sat morning we had 2 ex-laps for FB's and a pyo. this week so far has been mental. evening surgery last night went on way past normal finishing time with extras being squeezed in all over the place. we've got full staff in too so not like we're each doing extra work as people away.

This is Cornwall. Tumbleweed down the High Street would be the most exciting thing this year or the last.....

Hmmmmm, just run an extra afternoon surgery.After the BH I'll be ultrasounding one of Mrs Nute's clients animals.

Not one client has been invited to The Wedding - I've been asking. Most believe it to be a problem with the post.

As for tumbleweed, you may remember the scene, the one hoss town, tumbleweed rolling down the main street and the saloon looking like an oasis. The barkeep looks up as the swing doors open and shut. There's a dog in the doorway on three legs."What's up lil doggy?" says the sheriff;

.".Whaaaaay.." says the lil' doggy " Someone shot ma paw"

Well last week was one of the busiest weeks for a long time, however so far today I have had 3 no shows in my surgery, hence I have time to be on Vetsurgeon

Just back from Thailand (wonderful!), miles away from all the pressures of work but took the family to Chessington Land Of Adventure on bank holiday Monday and the longest queue was 20 mins and most less than 10. Car parks almost empty.

Not sure if everyone is on holiday or if there genuinely are so many money concerns that people are not spending.
