Of course not! The GP came out and gave me a mmmmmnice injection!

Re: Pet hates

3) clients that phone at 6am for their old dog that is off it's back legs and vomiting but then refuse to come in immediately and just want to book an appointment for 'later on that morning'. This being after a weekend on call when I've barely stopped and want to sleeeeep!

ps. I'm not normally a moaning minnie, just very sleep deprived!

Re: Pet hates

Woe betide the receptionist who agrees a visit with the client without checking with me. All my toys will get thrown! I do them when I can. They are hardly ever emergencies, in which case they need to come to the surgery.

We charge a fair bit more for visits booked with no notice, they are cheaper fr the client if they give a day's notice.

Re: Pet hates
) Getting lumbered with the visit booked in just before lunch when you're due to start consults just after lunch....hence no lunch! And everyone else disappears!

2) Getting stuck behind the slowest drivers in the country when en-route to said visit (or any visit, especially emergencies) and wishing we had the luxury of flashing blue lights!
Don't make any effort to overtake those drivers - in fact drive very very carefully. When you get to your patient make sure you are very very careful over your examination and treatment. Drive very very carefully back again.

Someone will get the message.

Re: Pet hates

Vikki - i hope the Tramadol wasn't self prescribed!
