There was an elderly man (70s, I think) who fell (?collapsed) into his greenhouse and sustained several lacerations. The doctor at the scene found him to be having multiple ventricular premature complexes

Re: Real A & E on tv last night

I saw that (the things I do when on call!) and did actually wonder the same thing.

One bitch we had in the other week for a spay and removal of vaginal polyp was found to have an arrhythmia (the odd ectopic beat, just on auscultation, didn't investigate). The dog wasn't showing any clinical signs and went through the surgery fine. Was slow to come round and ended up staying in overnight after. The next day, the arrhythmia was still present and also at the POC. Saw the dog for stitches out yesterday and heat completely back to normal! I listened for nearly two minutes and didn't hear any arrhythmia...... Have advised three month check or sooner if they notice any clinical signs.....
