Thanks for your advice, and I take all the points made. I have nothing against EU vets, I just felt we would have a bit more interest from UK vets.

UK vets seek jobs all over the world except UK......... I think it's nothing against Iverness ....... there's nothing wrong with EU vets

Is there a particular reason you don't want an EU vet? I've worked with EU trained vets and some of them are damn good vets. :)

I'd count that as a plus

I tend to look for the important info (for me) . Firstly where is it ? It doesn't actually say Inverness, and if it doesn't say, I wonder why. Whether it is new grad/experienced vet/not important. What the rota is. If that information isn't there I tend to ignore the ad unless it sounds like a dream job - in which case I wonder what the catch is (been in this profession too long, I'm getting too cynical)

Keep advertising and make your advert stand out from the crowd! This can be with the actual presentation of the advert and/or the text you use.

It does seem nowadays that foreign applicants outnumber home graduates by five or ten to one. Make what you will of that.

I think I've seen that advert. For me it would be because Inverness is too far away from things - there's not much CPD here in the Central Belt, let alone way up there, and family would be even further away than they are now!
